Capaldi's era had so many bad episodes... but he was such a fantastic Doctor. He brought the best out of the worst episodes, and the best stories of his seasons were some of the finest of the series.

I kind of feel sorry about the decision to do the "kill by using super moves" system because it was actually a decent attempt to try and create a unique "party fighter" gameplay system that didn't directly ape other games. It's exactly what Nintendo did when they made Smash Bros. in the first place (I remember reviews of the first Smash Bros. being very brutal and didn't mince words on how they thought the ring out system was too stupid compared to other fighting games). I appreciate the fact that they actually TRIED to do something different to set themselves apart from SSB.

...on the other hand, it doesn't help that it just wasn't very balanced or as fun. And if the goal was to try to not be seen as a Smash ripoff it kind of fell apart when so many other aspects of the game resembled it so closely, right down to the stuff that would have been simple to do differently, like the menu system.

I think it'd be pretty hard to think of an actual list of all the cards overall for my favorites, but some of my favorite cards in general have to be the Madolche monsters. They're really cute, I love the dessert theme, and their unique effect of never being sent to the Graveyard is really cool. They're also just really solid and consistent cards that are fun to play because of it. I just love them.

Always play along your team even if they do something stupid. Even a bad plan is better than no focused plan at all.

Probably could work if they presented it as a full on sport, maybe similar to the gym battles in SwSh, or like in Pokemon Unite. Have no random unsanctioned battles in the field, and give the Pokemon the more human-like personality that shows they're super in to it (which is basically what they have in the anime anyway).

Got together with some friends and played a few rounds of Unite as a team. Worked out pretty great. Actually being able to communicate and work together with friends made even difficult games a ton of fun.

I tried making a Harpie deck and it's easily my worst deck. It feels like there's so much potential there but it's just not that good.

Also, "Harpie's Hunting Ground" is just awful. It sounds like it could have a cool effect, but the damn thing destroys itself most of the time...

Also, I took that survey and a few observations:

• They have to know how crappy the menu system is because it's brought up like two dozen times as a potential response.
• I like how "defeating Rotom" is it's own thing as one of the things you can list that you like about the game. Meanwhile "defeating Drednaw" is lumped together with "defeating Zapdos"....
• Playing while using the restroom is an option for how you game. I haven't done that... yet.
• This option in "What do you like to do when playing video games": [Destroying objects and items in-game (buildings, background, etc.) and then resetting them]... um, what?
• They have an entire section based on what microtransactions you like to buy. Ick.

The answer, like it usually is, is probably kids. Some 4 year old with a Switch who loves Pokemon but has absolutely no idea what's going on in this game and is just hitting buttons.

They're both pretty much the same. LE has more cards and uses the newer ruleset.

As far as battle animations go, LE changed it so that you only get animations when you summon popular monsters. It's less annoying.

Kuriboh's great. I really liked the mock duel between Yugi and Mai's voice actors where Kuriboh's Multiply effect was represented by the player grabbing an entire deck of Kuriboh cards and doing the "make it rain" motion to toss them all over the table.

Handtraps are just awful to play against mentally. There's some fun in seeing that your opponent set something down and the nervousness of what could be waiting for you, or wondering if they're just bluffing. But having something spring out at you from their hand never feels great and just makes you feel paranoid for the entire game.

It wasn't really made clear that you don't share exp. I guess if I paid attention to the level bar I'd notice it, but I never looked that closely. When I see teammates attacking something I simply joined them to help kill it faster.

50% of games I have people actively trying to steal my jungle from the start of the game. Not even do some of it themselves, just following me around and trying to last it the minions.

I'm going to be real, I've never played a MOBA before and I have absolutely no idea what the hell you're talking about. I understand the individual words, but they make no sense as a full sentence.

I think it's too much to expect the many many people who are trying this out the first time to understand what the strategy is, particularly since the tutorials are so basic. This isn't even a problem specific to this game. I remember watching a youtube series that had inexperienced players try out different video games to test how well the game's tutorials actually helped teach them how to play, and MOBAs fell really low down on the list. They mostly teach you basic controls and NOTHING else despite how complicated the overall gameplay can be so new players just drown and get flamed. That's just the way these games are designed. They're very unfriendly to new players which is really poor design considering how critical teamwork is to winning them. It's honestly a major problem.
